As a space admin, you can use themes to change the appearance of a space. Confluence comes with a default theme, but product administrators can download and install additional themes from the Atlassian Marketplace. Once a product administrator has installed a theme, space admins can apply it to any space.
To apply a theme to a space:
Go to the space in Confluence Cloud.
Select Space settings from the sidebar.
Select Themes from the Look and feel card (you'll need the space admin permission to do this).
Choose a theme option.
Select Confirm.
“Global look and feel” refers to a theme that a product administrator has applied at the site level, which is applied automatically to all newly created spaces.
Changes to the global look and feel will affect all spaces that use the default theme. If a space admin has applied a non-default theme to a space, that space won't inherit changes from the global look and feel.
To use the global look and feel for a space that previously used a different theme:
Go to the space in Confluence Cloud.
Select Space settings from the sidebar.
Select Themes from the Look and feel card (you'll need the space admin permission to do this).
Select Global look and feel, then select Confirm.
Users can also select their own theme, choosing either Light or Dark. These choices are independent of the theme you choose in settings, however each theme responds to the user’s current choice, displaying slightly darker colors in Dark mode.
