Getting started with team calendars

Team calendars is a feature in all Premium or higher subscriptions in Confluence. Before getting started, verify that you are on a Confluence Premium subscription. If you are new to Confluence, get started on a free trial of Confluence Premium here.

You can create new calendars or add existing calendars in any Confluence space. Existing calendars can be other calendars from your Confluence site or Google Calendars

Team calendars is not currently supported on mobile devices.

Create a calendar

  1. Select Calendars in the space sidebar. A Calendars panel opens. 

  2. Select the button at the top right of the Calendars panel and select Add new calendar. The Create calendar modal window appears.

  3. Enter a name for the calendar.

  4. Select Create.

Add an existing calendar

  1. Select Calendars in the space sidebar. A calendar panel opens.

  2. Select the button at the top right of the Calendars panel and select Add existing calendar. The Add existing calendar modal window appears.

  3. Search or browse for calendars to add.

  4. Select the check boxes for the calendars to be added to the space.

  5. Clear the Watch selected calendars checkbox if you don't want notifications when changes are made to the selected calendars.

  6. Select Add.

Import a calendar

  1. Select Calendars in the space sidebar. A calendar panel opens.

  2. Select the button at the top right of the Calendars panel and select Import calendar. The Import calendar modal window appears.

  3. Enter a name for the calendar.

  4. Choose a file from the Upload iCal field.

  5. Select the .ics file to be imported and select Open.

  6. Select Import.

Subscribe by URL

  1. Select Calendars in the space sidebar. A calendar panel opens.

  2. Select the button at the top right of the Calendars panel and select Subscribe by URL. The Subscribe modal window appears.

  3. Enter a name for the calendar.

  4. Paste the URL for the calendar in the iCal URL field.

  5. Select Subscribe.

Edit a calendar

To change the name of a calendar, hide certain event types, or move the calendar to another space, you can edit the calendar provided you have the right permissions.

  1. Select Calendars in the space sidebar.

  2. Select to the right of the calendar name, then select Edit.

  3. Change the calendar's name or move it to another space.

  4. Select Save.

You can also add custom event types and hide default event types to tailor the calendar to your needs.
