AI panels are a new feature in Atlassian Intelligence that helps you surface important information from your Confluence pages. There are two types of AI panels currently available:
Page summary panel: This panel automatically generates a summary of the content on a page.
Action items panel: This panel scans your page and identifies all action items, listing them out for easy reference.
You can insert an AI panel into your page in two ways:
From the / (forward slash) command palette: For example, type /page summary panel for the page summary panel.
From the Insert element menu: Select the + from the main toolbar and select the type of panel you want to insert.
The AI panel will automatically generate its content when it's first added to your page. However, it won't update automatically if you edit the page content. To update the panel content, you'll need to select the action button in the floating toolbar.
You can manually edit the content that the AI panel generates. Any edits you make will only affect the content of the panel and won't impact the rest of your page content. However, keep in mind that regenerating the panel content using the action button will remove any manual edits you've made.
AI panels are a great way to save time and effort when working with your Confluence content. They can help you quickly summarize your pages and identify key action items.
