Jira work suggestions provide automated task recommendations generated from multiple connected tools to help you decide which task to complete next.
Knowing what to work on next can be challenging as you navigate several tasks during your work day. When managed with several tools in your toolchain, it's especially easy to lose sight of ad-hoc tasks, such as reviewing pull requests or resolving critical vulnerabilities. You and your team can eliminate bottlenecks and maintain daily work momentum with contextual, timely, and actionable work suggestions. You can see information about the task at a glance, making it easy to plan your work and stay ahead of what needs to be done.
Work suggestions are available on scrum and kanban boards in Jira.
You’ll see customized work suggestions for you when:
you’re added as a reviewer on an open pull request
you’re added as a reviewer on a draft pull request
your pull request has changes requested
your pull request is ready to merge
there hasn’t been any activity on your pull request for more than five days
deployments related to issues currently assigned to you have failed
builds related to issues currently assigned to you have failed
there are critical security vulnerabilities related to issues in your sprint
an issue assigned to you in the current sprint blocks other issues
an issue assigned to you in the project blocks other issues
You may get some or all of these work suggestions depending on the source code management tool you’re using and its connection with Jira, as well as the specific type of Jira board in use, whether it’s an agile or a scrum board.
Jira work suggestions are enabled by default for you. You’ll see the work suggestions panel on your Jira board only when suggestions are customized for the context of your work are available and you haven’t previously disabled work suggestions.
