Managing automatic access to goals and projects
When Goals and Projects are released to all customers, certain groups will get access to Goals and Projects automatically. This means users in these groups will be able to create and view goals and projects.
The groups that will get access automatically are the default groups for the following roles:
Product | Roles |
---|---|
Compass |
|
Confluence |
|
Jira |
|
Jira Product Discovery |
|
Jira Service Management |
|
Opsgenie |
|
Radar |

Examples
Alex is a member of the default group that grants the Confluence user role. They’ll get access to Goals and Projects automatically.
Jane is a member of the default group that grants the Jira Administration product admin role. They won’t get access to Goals and Projects automatically.
Organization admins are able to disable automatic access to Goals and Projects for these groups at any time. You can always enable automatic access later or configure access manually. Give users access to products
Access for platform experiences early access customers
This release will give you flexibility to manage access to Goals and Projects.
We recommend you review the relevant groups and ensure all your users are members of a group to minimize any disruption. Any user that isn’t in a group listed above will lose their ability to create and view goals and projects when Goals and Projects are released to all customers.
Alternatively, you can disable automatic access to Goals and Projects. All users will lose access to Goals and Projects, but then you can configure access manually.
Access for former Atlas customers
This release won’t affect users who have access to Atlas today. Anyone who can access Atlas before Goals and Projects are released to all customers will still be able to create and view goals and projects after this release.
