Data classification is the process of identifying and categorizing sensitive information in a company. What is data classification?
A default classification level is the classification level that applies to a new page, issue, or other supported entity until it's manually classified by a user. The default classification level also applies to existing pages and issues that haven’t been classified. This helps organizations implement data classification quickly at scale, while allowing users to override default classification levels on specific pages and issues where another classification level is deemed more appropriate.
Default classification levels can be set for spaces in Confluence and projects in Jira. Only space admins and project admins can set and change the default classification level for a space or project. How to set a default classification level
